Ghana-Connection auf XING

Es gibt sie noch – die Ghana-Connection, die (als würdige Nachfolgerin der seit Mitte der 1990er Jahre bestehenden Nigeria-Connection) im Internet als Garant für Kontinuität und Sustainability steht. Man geht mittlerweile neue Wege und bedient sich jetzt Sozialer Netzwerke als Medium.

Ein vorgeblicher Herr Simon Dornoo, vorgeblich Banker aus Ghana, schrieb mir heute auf XING:

Story und Masche sind schon ein paar Jahre alt. Stilistisch zeigen sich leider Schwächen und man hat sich der klassischen Vorliebe für Versalien entledigt. Wie schade, man sollte erfolgreich eingeführte Marken-Erkennungswerte nicht so leichtfertig über Bord werfen!

Disclaimer

Ja, ja – diesem Blog-Beitrag fehlt ein Mindestmaß an Political Correctness.

Aber erstens ist Freitag, und freitags darf man auch Politisch Unkorrektes von sich geben.

Zweitens haben sich die Ausdrücke „Nigeria-Connection“ bzw. „Nigerian Letter Scam“ – ohne Anführungsstriche – bereits in der Wikipedia eingenistet.

Und drittens überkommen mich tatsächlich nostalgische Gefühle, wenn ich diesen seit über 10 Jahren nach stets gleichbleibendem Grundmuster abgefassten skurrilen Stories begegne – auch wenn es Versuche sind, mit Vorschussbetrug Geld zu machen. Sie sind nun mal ein Stück Internetgeschichte – und eine ganz besondere literarische Gattung obendrein. ;-)
